Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kickstart suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Your child does not need any previous karate or martial arts experience.
What age is Kickstart for?
This page is focused on children aged 6 to 8. If your child is slightly younger or older, enquire and we can advise.
What should my child wear for their trial?
Comfortable clothing they can move in is fine for the first class. We can confirm everything before they attend.
What if my child is nervous?
That is completely normal. Our instructors help new children settle in gently and without pressure.
Will karate help my child’s confidence?
Confidence is one of the biggest benefits parents often notice because children see regular progress and earn praise for effort.
Is it just fitness, or do they learn discipline too?
They learn both. Classes include movement and coordination, but also focus on listening, respect, self control and positive behaviour.
